Colon
Colon cancer is a slow developing disease, with almost all cancers developing from slow-growing polyps over many years. Detection and removal of these polyps means that colon cancer is essentially preventable. Unfortunately, many cancers are detected at a very late stage when cure is difficult, and results in more than 20 000 deaths every year.
